Tucker Club Continues FODAC Support; Changes Up Club Meetings

The Rotary Club of Tucker continues to support FODAC (Friends of Disabled Adults and Children) and Crutches for Africa (C4A). In February, the club helped sort manual wheelchairs at FODAC and transport excess chairs to the C4A warehouse on the west side of Atlanta for preparation and shipment to a C4A location in Africa. The club has been supplying the manpower and transportation to deliver crutches, walkers, rollators and mattresses as well as leg and body braces from the FODAC warehouse to the C4A warehouse since 2016. The most recent delivery included 21 manual wheel chairs.

In addition to its monthly support for FODAC and C4A, the club is moving to two meetings a month (second and fourth Thursday) - and moving its meeting to the Magnolia Room in Tucker. The third week of every month will feature a Meet & Greet - initially at Local 7 on Main Street in Tucker. Meet & Greet will branch out into family events and a variety of locations. Service projects will receive more emphasis under the new format. The current schedule with visits to FODAC every other month will continue with other projects being added especially during the first week of every month. The focus of the Tucker Club will change to Rotarians meeting people helping people.
