Eight Rotarians honored with Paul Harris Fellow recognition

On February 11th, eight Rotarians were honored with the Paul Harris Fellow recognition during the weekly meeting of the Meriwether County Rotary Club. This recognition is the Rotary Foundation’s appreciation for significant contributions to its humanitarian and educational programs. The award is named after Rotary's founder, a Chicago lawyer who established the organization with three business associates in 1905.

Today, we move closer to a world of peace and goodwill as Dawn Woodard, Jo Phillips, Cynthia Kilby, and Melissa Trujillo become Paul Harris Fellows through their contributions of $1,000 each. Additionally, Aaron Mabon, Carolyn McKinley, Allen Parham, and Shanna Downs are recognized for their donations of over $2,000, thus demonstrating their commitment to peace and improving lives through the Rotary Foundation's programs.

Through generous gifts like these, the Rotary Foundation can implement a variety of programs that promote beneficial changes in our world: improved living conditions, increased food production, better education, wider access to treatment and rehabilitation for the sick and disabled, enhanced international understanding, and brighter hopes for peace.
