On October 17, 2022 and March 13, 2023 the Meriwether County Rotary Club members participated in the Student One-On-One Report Card Conference at Manchester High School.
One-On-One Report card conferences grant a student the opportunity to have an adult and a leader in the community sit down and have a genuine conversation with them about their grades.
Rotarian members and other community leaders sat with each student, reviewed their grades on their report cards, offered career advice and support, and inquired about each student’s personal and school interests. This event gave students positive feedback and encouragement to do their best.
“The most rewarding part was inviting business and community leaders into the school to see our students and offer support,” said Suze Geer Neal, Manchester High School principal. “Our students went into the conference understanding that we have many people in the community that care about them.”
“The students loved the event and can’t wait to have people come back again for the next report cards,” said Neal.
