Every Ticket Makes a Difference: Helping Rotary End Polio!

The Rotary Club of Meriwether County was proud to host a 50/50 raffle at the Cotton Fair to support Rotary International’s ongoing fight to eradicate polio worldwide.

While the Cotton Fair brings our community together to celebrate tradition, fellowship, and service, it also gives us a chance to make a difference far beyond our own community. Through the generosity of fairgoers and raffle supporters, we help support Rotary’s global mission to protect children from this devastating but preventable disease.

For decades, Rotary members have worked alongside global health partners to immunize children, strengthen health systems, and raise awareness about the importance of polio vaccination. Although we've made tremendous progress, the fight is not over. Continued support, resources, and vaccination efforts are essential to reaching every child and ensuring that no family has to live with the fear of polio.

Every dollar raised supports the larger effort to create a world where children can grow up healthy and free from this disease. Our 50/50 raffle reminded us that even a small contribution, combined with the generosity of many, can make a lasting difference.

The Rotary Club of Meriwether County extends a heartfelt thank-you to everyone who purchased a raffle ticket and supported this important cause. Your participation helps demonstrate that the spirit of service extends well beyond the borders of our community.

Together, we serve locally and make a difference globally. Together, we can help Rotary achieve a polio-free world!
