As we begin celebrating Membership & New Club Development Month, we're excited to spend the next several weeks highlighting the incredible people who make our club so special. Through stories, service, and fellowship, we'll be sharing why we are Rotarians and what it means to be part of the Rotary Club of Meriwether County.
To kick things off, we're reflecting on one of the most memorable moments of our summer.
It was an extraordinary honor for the Rotary Club of Meriwether County to welcome Rotary International President Francesco Arezzo and his wife, Anna Maria Criscione, for breakfast and a private tour of Georgia's historic Little White House in Warm Springs, including a special visit to the Polio Hall of Fame at Roosevelt Warm Springs.
Joining us for this unforgettable occasion were District 6900 Governor Cynthia Edwards, District Governor Nominee Amy Benton, and their spouses, making this a truly memorable day of Rotary fellowship and history.
A heartfelt thank you to Little White House Manager and fellow Rotarian Jason Grantham and his outstanding team for their warm hospitality and for providing such a wonderful experience. We are also grateful to Rotarian Bob Patterson for leading the tour and to Kay Williamson, Jo Phillips, and Club President Melissa Trujillo for coordinating the breakfast and helping make the morning so special.
Hosting a Rotary International President is a rare privilege and a tremendous honor for any club. We could not have been more proud to showcase our community, celebrate Rotary's enduring commitment to eradicating polio, and share the rich history of Warm Springs with President Arezzo during his visit.
Stay tuned throughout August as we celebrate the people, partnerships, and purpose that make Rotary such an incredible organization.
