Meriwether Co Rotary Club awarded $2,000 Community Grant

The Rotary Club of Meriwether County is proud to announce that it has been awarded a $2,000 Community Grant from Rotary District 6900 and The Rotary Foundation for the 2026–2027 Rotary year.

The grant will support the club's Early Literacy Initiative, providing KiBeam literacy devices to Pre-K students in Meriwether County. These interactive educational tools will help young learners develop essential reading, language, and comprehension skills while increasing kindergarten readiness and fostering a lifelong love of reading.

In addition to providing the literacy devices, Rotary members will volunteer in participating classrooms by reading with students and engaging in literacy activities that encourage reading confidence and strengthen community connections.

This project reflects Rotary's commitment to supporting education, investing in the future of our children, and making a lasting difference in the lives of young learners throughout Meriwether County.
