Waypoint River Ranch

The Rotary Club of Meriwether County made a special donation to Waypoint Ranch in honor of District Governor Steve Ivory, recognizing his leadership and commitment to service. Located in Woodbury, Georgia, in Meriwether County, Waypoint Ranch is dedicated to supporting military families as they work to heal, reconnect, and build resilience after the challenges of military service.

The ranch’s mission is to forge conditions where military families connect with one another, the land, and animals in ways that foster healing and understanding. Their vision is a nation where military families find peace, strengthen their communities, and are no longer burdened by the multigenerational impacts of war.

During a Rotary club meeting, Waypoint Ranch owners Stephanie and Ray Cirasa spoke to members about the organization’s work and the unique programs offered at the ranch. They shared insights into both evidence based treatments and holistic approaches used to support veterans and their families, particularly those experiencing PTSD. Their presentation helped educate members on the importance of community based healing environments and the role that connection to nature, animals, and peer support can play in recovery.

By making this donation in honor of District Governor Ivory, the Rotary Club recognized both his service and the meaningful work being done locally to support those who have served our country. The club also looks forward to building a continued partnership with Waypoint Ranch through future volunteer opportunities, allowing members to support the ranch’s mission while continuing Rotary’s commitment to Service Above Self.
